Slow internet on new build

ClickMeFishy

Just a few days ago I finished my new pc build but for some reason everything that relies on internet takes forever to load. I installed all my drivers and speedtest.net shows the speeds I should normally get yet websites take much longer to load then my old pc which I used the same ethernet cable for.

Are your Ethernet drivers installed?
If not, download them from your motherboard manufacturer's website and install them.

DNS? Maybe? 😄

Reminder

The IIA rule applies here:

I'm mostly speaking from experience so what I say may not work

I may be a complete asshole in some threads but I swear that I won't lie

Anyways, I am always glad to help

My best guess is that it's your IPv6. Go into network adapter settings, properties, and UNCHECK the IPv6 so that you're only using IPv4.
