My fans aren't working.Helppp!

GoofyThief

So basically for a few weeks now my gpu fans were spinning off and on...I bought new fans to attempt to replace it..but in the process I was struggling, they weren't coming out and I pulled the housing off the gpu circuit..I took my gpu for someone to solder it back on it looks like it's in place but the fans aren't spinning.... Tips on what I can or of there are any alternative options.

P.S.

I attempted to turn on GPU and it boots into window perfectly, there is just no way to cool it down when I am playing games.

what's the temp?

because GPU nowadays shut their fans off if it's not running hot

low demanding games may run without the fans spinning, it's been a mainstream thing since 900 series nvidia GPU (or even before)

I turned on a game and turned on software called speedfan..checked temps and let it run to 90C and turned Fan speed to 100% and still nothing and I just turned my pc off.

It is your GPU’s fans fault. If you don’t know how to swap your GPU’s fans, buy a better one like 1660S

Cuz I can see that nothing is wrong with your GPU except for the fans

Do remember to quote me, so I'll see your reply

Well if it's faulty fans or fan controller, you could always modify the fans to use case fans

@Moonzy I'll take it down to micro center because I don't have the required knowledge or tools. I'll ask them to see what they can do or if they can do it for me.

More likely than not, they'll tell you it needs to be sent to the manufacturers to get it fixed

If it's a new card, is it not under warranty? I guess it's voided when you broke it

The fan pins coming off the board might have damaged that part of the circuit board. I'm not sure if Microcenter does soldering work though.

If you don't want to send it in for repair you could zip tie fans to the GPU cooler, it works just as well or better than the stock fans.

Is it possible for something to be soldered on the wrong way and not receive power? It used to be the other way around before I had someone solder it for me when I pulled it off the board @Blademaster91

At this point I myself wouldn't tinker with it anymore.  I would just go ghetto and strap on a cpu heatsink on that thing a zip tie a fan or 2.

Or it's time to put on a water block for the obvious.
