Somethings wrong (vega56)

gsterben

Hey there!

I build myself a decent computer about 2 years ago

The thing is for about 6 months whenever i start a game it crashes on first try and my screen looses connection. Usually it reconnects and i can start the game on 2nd try and it will work for hours. But then i quit the game open chrome and the same thing happens again. I can also here a coil whine whenever i start a game. Sometimes it even crashes when i connect something to usb.

I guess somethings wrong with gpu, but it could also be the psu or mainboard. Anyone ever experienced something similar?

Thinking about grabbing a 3060 and hoping it will solve my problem.

Msi b40 a pro max mainboard

16 gb ddr4 3200mhz

Vega 56 strix

Ryzen 2600x (cooled by coolermaster hyper 212)

Thermaltake berlin 650 w rgb

Nothing is overclocked or undervolted.

Try running DDU on your drivers and doing a full 100% clean install of them. It sounds more like a drivers or windows issue over anything else honestly.
