Wifi card + Lian li SL120 fans

tyleroneill

Hey everyone,

Just put together my new rig, however having 2 current troubles. See specs below:

  • 5900x
  • B550 AORUS PRO V2 (rev. 1.0)
  • Trident Z Neo, DDR4-3600MHz CL16-16-16-36 1.35V, 32GB (2x16GB)
  • Fractal celsius s24
  • 3060ti
  • AORUS RGB AIC NVMe SSD 1TB
  • 7x UNI Fan SL120
  • TP-Link AX3000 Wi-Fi 6 PCIe Adapter w/Bluetooth 5.0

Please see the following issues.

1. TP-Link AX3000 Wi-Fi 6 PCIe Adapter w/Bluetooth 5.0 not working

https://www.tp-link.com/au/home-networking/pci-adapter/archer-tx50e/

Once installed into the smallest PCIe slot on the motherboard, and installed up to date drivers, the card did not show up in the BIOS or allow me to connect to any wifi. When the card was installed in the last slot, it did not work once again, until i removed the mounting screw to the case which allowed the wifi card to sad a little. Once the screw is reinstalled it does not work again. However this is the second wifi card i have received as the other one i returned for the same issue which i figured was a fault. Note, all slots on the motherboard have been tested with PCIe ssd's and are all working. Additionally the internal USB header on the motherboard  which connects to the card also works as they were tested with other devices.

2. UNI Fan SL 120, aRGB not working.

https://lian-li.com/product/uni-fan-sl/

All uni fans have been installed and wired correctly into the slots on the motherboard as they light up the standard rgb colour scheme, but also ramp up and down depending on the pc's load. Following all the instructions on the Lian Li website, i have installed the fix on the website, both installed and run L-Connect as administrator, checked universal serial bus devices and disable Lian Li (Lian li does appear and have disconnected and reconnected). I have also installed to what i believe is the latest chipset drivers and bios etc. For reference aRGB cable is plugged into the D_LED2 head on the top right of the mobo, see manual: https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Manual/mb_manual_b550-aorus-pro-ax_v2_1002_e.pdf

Just really confused on the whole situation and have already exhausted all my contacts and budget.

Just looking for some assistance, thanks to all who take the time to read and assist.

Regards

Tyler
