Should I install more fans for my H510?

fearZ

I'm getting an NZXT H510 and I've heard the airflow isn't great. I'm considering getting two Corsair SP140s and putting them in the front of the case. Some places I have read that this will make the airflow worse? Will make these make a difference big enough to make it worth buying at all? If you don't know the case is already fitted with two of these.

here are my specs (if it helps):

AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6GHz 6 Core 12 Thread CPU
Aerocool Cylon 3 ARGB CPU Air Cooler
MSI B450M Pro-VDH MAX Motherboard

24GB (3x8GB) Corsair Vengeance DDR4 RAM (2x3200 MHz 1x3000 MHz)

Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3060 Ti GAMING OC PRO 8G

500GB WD Blue SN550 NVME PCIE M.2 SSD (boot drive)

2TB Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 256MB Cache HDD

Aerocool Integrator 700W 80 Plus Bronze Non-Modular PSU

If you haven't BOUGHT the case yet, get a DIFFERENT case.

The problem is the $hiat airflow design of the case itself.

Your ONLY front air intake are these tiny holes on the side of the case.

Doesn't matter if you mount case fans at the front...those fans will CHOKE for air.

if you know it's bad for airflow, why did you still pick it? lol

instead of trying to fix it, why not get a casing with better airflow?

if you like the looks then that's understandable

it's not great, but it's not the end of the world

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Instead of planning how to fix the H510's mediocre airflow, would you consider getting a different case? I'm with you on the H510's sex appeal, but that shouldn't really be your first priority for a case. Something like a Fractal Design Meshify C or Corsair 4000D Airflow would give you much better airflow from the get-go.

Main PC:

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X • Noctua NH-D15 • MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk • 2x8GB G.skill Trident Z Neo 3600MHz CL16 • MSI VENTUS 3X GeForce RTX 3070 OC • Samsung 970 Evo 1TB • Samsung 860 Evo 1TB • Cosair iCUE 465X RGB • Corsair RMx 750W (White)

Peripherals/Other:

ASUS VG27AQ • G PRO K/DA • G502 Hero K/DA • G733 K/DA • G840 K/DA • Oculus Quest 2 • Nintendo Switch (Rev. 2)

Laptop (Dell XPS 13):

Intel Core i7-1195G7 • Intel Iris Xe Graphics • 16GB LPDDR4x 4267MHz • 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD • 13.4" OLED 3.5K InfinityEdge Display (3456x2160, 400nit, touch).

Got any questions about my system or peripherals? Feel free to tag me (@bellabichon) and I'll be happy to give you my two cents.
