Really acceptable is however much you tolerate. There are the cases where its REALLY bad and need replaced. The corners are hot spots but I dont know if thats normal as it differs for diff monitors.

I am a human that makes mistakes! If I'm wrong please correct me and tell me where I made the mistake. I try my best to be helpful.

here's my new monitor, both photos same monitor settings.

one is my phones camera "automatic" settings, the other is "pro" with iso 200

So it really kinda depends how this photo was made... for the record there's only minimal backlight bleeding on this monitor, nowhere near the first photo - which is is highly misleading due to obvious overexposure of Samsung's  scene 'optimizer'

I'm actually one of those people who thinks that anonymity is overrated. Some people confuse privacy and anonymity and think they go hand in hand, and that protecting privacy means that you need to protect anonymity. I think that's wrong. Anonymity is important if you're a whistle-blower, but if you cannot prove your identity, your crazy rant on some social-media platform shouldn't be visible, and you shouldn't be able to share it or like it.

I just noticed that in day light it pretty much does away. Why is that ?

The same reason anything which is of dark color, looks darker vs a lighter background.
