Hi there!

I am looking to revive my old PC as a Media Server over LAN. The server will be in use about 15 hours a day. I am confused about storage and power supply. 

I will be using Jellyfin server on top of Arch Linux. I don't think an NIC is needed as I have 100MbE.

Actual Dilemma:

1. I am looking to buy a new PSU as the old one is whining bad and smoking hot. Pls suggest some good n cheap one.
2. I already have an external 2TB HDD. Shall I use the same one connected via USB or buy a new internal hard disk(I prefer at least 4TB). If so then which one?

Just in case, if I use the external HDD will it crash under prolonged use?

There shouldn't be any issues for long term external hdd use. I have many external hdds ive used for backups and get years of life from them.
