Can I use cat 6 rj45 connector for cat5e cable?

Hi I've have just moved and convinced landlord to join me to making separated networks for the apartments. (Just mine and his) and the cable (cat5e) was already made and stretched. But without rj45 connectors. Was wondering if I can I use rj45 cat 6 connectors for cat5e cable?

They'll all use the same wiring schemes as far I as I know. The only difference is in the make up of the wires themselves.

The Cat6 RJ45 connectors have staggered wires, whereas the Cat5e and under are level.

EDIT: @daividgSomething you might notice with using Cat5e cables in Cat6 connectors is that the wires on Cat6 are generally slightly thicker, so in turn the connectors are also slightly larger, so the cables might not get clamped as well as they should.
