it should work

I normally get 4/4 or 5/5 bars of connection from my internet to my other devices. However, the further away I go the connection starts to plummet. Can anyone recommend me, preferably something from NETGEAR, of a product I should get from Amazon to fix the signal strength?

I am returning my NETGEAR AC1200 back to Amazon because it bricked on me. It told me to update the firmware via browser, I clicked okay go update or whatever, now it is flashing a green light. I looked up what the green light means, and it means that it is bricked or have some kind of error. Tried every way to fix it through NETGEAR'S support forums, Google, YouTube, still doesn't work.

ik its weird but if you have 1Gbps and wanted to use all of it I would need to find an extender that supported that spec

Do bear in mind that using a WiFi extender without a dedicated backhaul network (how mesh kits work), you might end up with WORSE performance than you have now.  This is why physically wiring it is highly recommended.

Router:  Intel N100 (pfSense) WiFi6: Zyxel NWA210AX (1.7Gbit peak at 160Mhz)
WiFi5: Ubiquiti NanoHD OpenWRT (~500Mbit at 80Mhz) Switches: Netgear MS510TXUP, MS510TXPP, GS110EMX
ISPs: Zen Full Fibre 900 (~930Mbit down, 115Mbit up) + Three 5G (~800Mbit down, 115Mbit up)
Upgrading Laptop/Desktop CNVIo WiFi 5 cards to PCIe WiFi6e/7

IMO those plug style devices are junk, as you cannot position them for optimal reception and with a built-in PSU you have an EMI noise source really close to the WiFi circuit.

If you want good performance you want the repeater to connect back to the main unit on one radio, while broadcasting a new second radio - rather than just repeating on the same channel that halves the speed.
