1. Create an account on Nicehash* https://www.nicehash.com/

2. If you've got Antivirus, you're going to want to disable it now. If you're not comfortable doing that for other system protection reasons, just whitelist each protection as they pop up. Google is your friend if you need help with your particular AV.

3. Download the Nicehash miner https://www.nicehash.com/cpu-gpu-mining

4. Install and log in to your Nicehash account in the program.

5. if using an AMD GPU, enable compute mode https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/dh-024

6. Benchmark. Remember to disable CPU mining! It's pretty much useless.

7. You're done!!!

Q: F*ck you miners
A: Most of us (like you) are just gamers. We mine our GPUs on their downtime when we're not gaming to earn $$ for upgrades. We're not out to buy up the entire 3000 series stock, just need some extra budget for our rigs.

Q: How much will I make?? Doesn't power cost more??

Q: I don't want to harm my GPU
A: No problem! Install MSI Afterburner and reduce your power limit to 80%, just like that your card is working less than playing Cyberpunk!

Q: Can I mine on my 3060?

A: Yes! Mining is proiftable on the 3060 using Nicehash! Mining with a 3060 is successful because Nicehash automatically benchmarks all the Algorithms when you add a new card, for a 3060 it automatically selects something other than Ethereum and still profits $7.50USD/day at the time of writing.

Hey, thanks for making this, just when I decided to try this mining stuff out - mostly because my pc is idling most of the time currently and yeah I'm curious... 

 

Any idea how this compares to ASUS/ quantum cloud thing in terms of profit?

Much more profitable, Nicehash has a long list of plugins that it benchmarks when you install it and it selects the most profitable one (mainly Etherium) and pays you in BTC regardless of what you end up mining.

Depends Nicehash isn't reporting or being audited by the IRS but generally if you have to ask this question go with a burner. I suggest yopmail as it provides LTS for burner emails. You don't want $4k in bitcoin in an account you can't log into because the email you provided doesn't exist
