Motherboard died, planning on buying new motherboard+CPU but unsure of incompatibilities with RAM

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: FL Studio 12, CS:GO, Call of Duty, Football Manager, Escape From Tarkov

Currently planning on keeping everything in the above build, but buying a new Ryzen 5 3600 CPU and a MSI B450 Tomahawk Max II motherboard. My main concern was, the 2 RAMs I now have (totalling to 16GB) are of 2133MHz and 2400MHz frequencies, and I was worrying if that'd be limiting the proposed CPU in any way since I read that the suggested compatible RAM frequencies for it would be ~3000MHz.

 

Any feedback (along with any explanation on how exactly I'd be limiting my build) would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Wouldn't reccomend either of those components, but the ram should work just fine, it'd just be at 2133mhz at the higher cas latency.

Yeah it will impact performance as it will run at the slowest speed which is 2133mhz. Between that and 3600mhz there is about a 15% performance difference.

if you install 2 different types of ram they can have issues running in dual channel mode and will default to running at the lowest speed so in your case 2133. which is about the slowest speed you can get for ddr4 ram so kind of unfortunate. Can be a performance hit at that speed.

I would reccomend something like a i5-10400/f, and a asrock b460 pro4 or something.

I would get a new kit of RAM for Ryzen, 10400F vs Ryzen 3600 its tied in games overall so grab the cheaper combo of the following...

 

Ryzen 3600 + Gigabyte A520 S2H

i5-10400F + Cheapest Z490 board

RAM? I personally think this kit is best
