Can I use two nvme drives

Ratiffshabang

Building my first pc, I have a 1tb samsung 970 evo nvme and a 500gb Firecuda nvme. Can I use both of them on the Asus Tuf x570 gaming plus. It has two m.2 slots. I also have a 2tb samsung 860 evo 2.5" ssd as well.

Yes, you can use both M.2 slots with NVME SSD's and still use all your SATA ports.

Really? The NvMEs don't turn off SATA ports anymore?

They do on certain motherboards, not this one.

Just check the manual of the motherboard and find out.

In my experience the more premium chipsets don't have this limitation, but stuff like B450/B550 or B460 do have this "use certain M.2, turn off certain SATA port(s)" thing.

It always depends on the motherboard in question and this one does not turn off SATA ports when M.2 drives are used.

Yay you just made my day. I got SUPER lucky and got a Ryzen 7 5800x and a Rx 6900XT without bots or buying from a scalper. So very excited but also feeling a bit overwhelmed being my first build
