is it okay to mix ram brand/speeds

so i have a set of 2x 8gb 3200mhz hyper x fury

and i have corsair vengence pro rgb 2x 8g 2933mhz i already have it installed and i was wondering if i should take them out for stability problems i dont notice any yet but i wanted to know if it was okay and if there would be any problems going forward

They may have stability problems, they may not. If they're fine they'll just run at the lower speed, in this case 2933 mhz, and the higher cas latency.

It can cause issues, but usually, if the system boots, you should be fine. You still might be better off with only one set of RAM so you can take advantage of the higher speeds.

i enabled xmp and it says 3200mhz in windows

That's when I'd expect some issues, since you're overclocking one of your memory kits beyond what it's rated for. I'd run memtest64 for a couple hours before leaving both kits of memory in the system, but if it passes, leave it and call it a day.

okay i was just checking as i wasnt sure id thought id try it as id have 16gb more ram then now

Unless the sticks are defective, it usually doesn't cause any problems. If you're forcing them to operate as dual channel and overclock them, that's when issues may arise.

nah i put them in and enabled xmp and booted into windows
