Lian li O11 Dynamic for noise

tebla

hey, I'm building a rig for audio production rig, so overall noise is quite important. I love the look of the O11 Dynamic but had seen some people say it's not fantastic for noise. Do you think there could be a fan setup in this case to reduce noise? maybe adding more fans so each can be at lower rpm?

More fans is not the answer. Fans that spin slow is the answer.

If you're using hard drives, AIO's or have parts that have coil whine, you might actually want to consider a case with sound dampening.

Interestingly enough, the Silent Base 802 gives you the option of Low RPM fan airflow, or Silent operation (at the cost of higher temps)

PC-O11 probably isnt a good choice for low noise. The fractal define series and bequiets cases will probably be better suited. However you could use 140mm fans rather than 120 as you can run them slower while moving the same amount of air. and i would avoid liquid cooling as pumps can be noisier (more high pitched) compared to fans. a good way to improve acoustics is to add thin foam around the edges of the glass side panels ensuring they seal properly this reduces the amount of sound that escapes the case. my fractal define nano s has foam covering the inside of rear panel aswell i imagine this would help.

the problem with cases that have poor air flow means you got to run the fans faster to compensate. you can have a dead silent case  that is mesh. just need to pick good stuff that can run low rpm. like a big heat sink(not just any thow), bigger the fan the better( thoe some cheap case with 200mm fans might be loud ) water cooling can be loud or quiet all depends.

I have dyslexia plz be kind to me. dont like my post dont read it or respond thx
