kernel 41 reboot while gaming I'm at my wits end please help

docmedic

Had this system for 2 years never had a problem until now. I am having kernel 41 power reboots without BSOD while gaming, most specifically while playing Path of Exile. The issue seems to almost always happen when using portals. I can play COD MW for hours with no issues. I have only had it reboot on me once while playing COD.

system info: Asus prime B360m-a motherboard with updated bios, intel I7 8700, Gigabyte GTX 1060 3 gig GPU, corsair 700 Power supply, Cooler Master Hyper 212 RGB, 120 exhaust fan and 120 intake fan.

I have updated all my drivers, I have done a clean install of windows, I have tried other hard drives with clean installs. I have changed out PS to the 700 watt from a non name 500 watt. I have run mem test with no faults, I have run a benchmark on both the CPU and the GPU with no faults. I do not overclock at all. I also added an intake fan. I have also uninstalled the game and reinstalled as well.

Any help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately that error tells us nothing except that the computer restarted unexpectedly.

When it lists that error in Event Viewer does it give any additional information?

I've taken a look but whatever it is causing the issue, Windows cannot identify it. All those crashes have a bug check code of 0 which basically means none/unknown.

If I had to guess I'd say its power related but honestly, I genuinely have no idea and its not something you can track down easily. It might be worth taking it to a shop and asking them to take a look since they will have access to hardware they can use to swap and test with.
