Should i upgrade 1070TI

magix01

Hello guys, I have MSI Armor 1070TI and have managed to make it stable at +200 core and +400 mem, 1080p extreme on Superposition gives it around 4350 to 4400 points which puts it around 1080 performance stock, under load the card is stable at max 75C (stock voltage) 2000-2050mhz boost clock and overall a great performer, however i have this "itch" to get 3060TI or 3070, there is stock in my country but the price for but 3060ti is around 700-750$.

I play on 1080p 144hz monitor, should i upgrade, i want your opinions? 馃檪

Just keep the 1070ti until stuff comes down in price if you really want to upgrade.聽At 1080p the 1070ti is pretty good, so I don鈥檛 think you need to upgrade unless you are buying a higher rez monitor.

My primary system: Core I7 10700k, 32 gb Trident Z RGB ram@3200mhz, EVGA GTX 970 SSC (will upgrade), NZXT N7 Z490 motherboard (Black), Samsung 970 Evo聽plus 1TB SSD,聽NZXT C850 PSU, Hyper 212 EVO cooler (getting new water cooler soon), NZXT H510i case.聽

My secondary system: Core I7 4820k, 16 gb quad channel 1600mhz ram, GTX 780 reference,聽Asus PX79LE, SK Hynix GOLD s31 500gb SSD, some 10 yr old Cooler Master 750w psu, Hyper 212, old Cooler Master case.

Laptop: Lenovo l380 yoga I5 8250u, 8gb ram, 256gb ssd storage)

What games do you play on your 1080p 144hz monitor? Upgrading might help you lock 144fps depending on the game or improve the fps or fps 1% and 0.1% lows. And what is your cpu?

Depends on how much money you have to burn, if you can game comfortably with the 1070ti I would hold off from upgrading @1080p, at least for now. You just have to ask yourself is 700 worth the FPS gain to you.

I play Warzone and get around 100-150fps depending on gameplay, CPU is ryzen 3700x, 16GB memory @3600 mhz. I dont care much about RTX since my opinion is that current gen is not really geat performer with it, but DLSS seems interesting tho, I wanted to upgrade because of it.

@Stockholmes

Money is not that big of an issue however i think that 750$ is too much for 20-30fps gain, i was more interested in other features.

you are聽 good to go with 1070Ti for 1080p,in the future gaming perhaps lower details.

The cards you mentioned are for 1440p gaming,in that case you would need to get 1440p capable monitor.

Please do not take offence for my apparent confusion or rudeness,it's not intent me to be like that,it's just my BPD,be nice to me,and I'll return twice better,be rude and usually I get easly pissed of...I'll try to help anyone here,as long as it's something I dealt with,and even if you think I'm rude or not polite,forgive me,聽 it's not me it's my BPD.

Thanks for understanding.

Unless you can snag a new gpu for MSRP, or are very well off, keep it, the 1070 ti is no slouch especially at 1080p.聽
