That's one of the best memory kits on the market @New rig. It's also certified to work with AMD Ryzen CPU's, so you shouldn't have any problems with it.

Like mentioned before, you WILL need to overclock it manually (but you essentially just need to flip one switch in the BIOS) otherwise the RAM won't run at 3600MHz CL14.

Also, make sure you check/update your motherboard's BIOS, otherwise your system will NOT boot no matter what you try.

Some motherboards manufactured (I'd say) before November of 2020 will NOT support Ryzen 5000 CPU's without a BIOS update.

Okay thank you guys so much for your time

Hey don't worry about that @New rig I'm sure I'm not speaking for myself here when I say that most of us here actually LIKE talking about/helping/discussing tech.

And please do NOT worry. You're pretty much looking at one of the best configurations money can buy in 2021 and I'm REALLY not exaggerating here.

Few things to keep in mind:

  • please buy a decent PSU - I'd personally go for a nice high quality 1000W unit to have some headroom and allow it to stay quiet
  • choose a good cooler for your CPU (air or AIO water is fine, you could also do a custom loop if you're up for that) - remember 16 cores is a LOT
  • and make sure your case has enough high quality fans to provide nice fresh air across all of your components, otherwise your machine will throttle

And finally: enjoy it man 😊 - you'l love it, no doubt.

Can you guys think of anything I could modify or add?

I started with a threadripper, but after research I learned that, that particular processor wasn’t the BEST for gaming alone. So I changed it.

Nah man.. to be honest even with your type of budget a 5950X is a great choice, simply because it really is the best for gaming at the moment. Threadrippers are fantastic as well, but they are essentially HEDT/workstation 1st and gaming 2nd. Next gen of Threadripper CPU's should perform fantastically in games as well, but really, I wouldn't worry about it.

The only thing I'd change is I'd skip the soundcard - those things aren't needed in 2021 and instead invest in a nice DAC, Amp and headphones.

Thank you. @gal-m @SpiderMan @Tristerin

-I am not streaming. I am running two screens though.

1)PG35VQ

2)PG259QN

I think I will go with the:

-4x8gb 3600mhz CL14

If you use 2x16 you might be able to increase your RAM if you need more capacity down the road. Both options are good enough. Just enjoy your new RAM, without worrying too much about latency. A 3600 MHz ram with CL 16 or 14, both are plenty fast. 😛

Attention is what makes life meaningful.

Also, please quote me for a reply. 🙂
