Damikiller37's Trixel Wallpapers

I LOVE the Fez wallpaper, so much so that I put it on my desktop straight away! Thank you

I also have a few suggestions for things you could do :) I'd love to see the Zelda triforce, a minecraft pickaxe/sword and a Squirtle :)

EDIT: Ooh and the Hearthstone logo too, if that's possible!

Update: I have spent the entire day making the OP look better and easier to navigate through. Temporarily individual downloads are not available but I will get those sorted out soon so now worries :) For now just download the .ZIP which has all of the wallpapers.

I'll add that to the list later :) and thank you!

you have a long list ahahahh how do you make this stuff ?

i guess you draw them pixel by pixel and drop some shadow , then add gaussian blur to the background ,then you add the pattern but im not sure

edit:it's in the description :P

I usually get a pixel art of the thing I'm doing from the internet (sometimes I make it if I can't find a good one) then redraw that pixel art in Hexels using trixels set up in such way that the 2 trixels make a square (pixel). Here are the settings I use:

Once I'm done with that I select each colour and pick darker and lighter shades to randomise the area and give it the effect. Once I'm done I export the complete image into a PNG file of the size I think will be best and open it up in Paint.NET. In Paint.NET I have 2 templates for both the white and coloured version of the wallpapers. I centre the image exported from Hexels and duplicate it on a layer below. Then with the below layer I turn the Lightness setting to 0 in Hue/Saturation option which makes the exported image all black, then I apply as much Gaussian blur as I find appropriate to create a soft shadow behind the exported image. I also find a suitable background image for the coloured version and again I apply as much Gaussian blur as I think will look good. The background is always overlaid with the name stamp/watermark and vertical lines (made using a plugin called diagonal lines) on a layer above. So the layers will look like this in Paint.NET:
