Migrating Windows 10 from HDD to SSD OS

No that will not work.

You need to at least clone the drive. Although you might run into space problems.

My advise: install windows on SSD and move over files you need afterwards.

No. You'll need clone the drive using some cloning software that may come with your SSD. But from my experience, don't even bother with that. Just do a fresh install with your SSD, and keep your HDD as is but use it as mass storage. Installing Windows takes less than 20 minutes with a SSD, heck I would even say 10 minutes. You won't be carrying over any registry errors and just general Windows problems you've amassed over the years to plague your SSD with.

Can i clone part of a drive, like partition the drive, and only clone that?
