Gtx 650 dual sata to 6 pin

Is getting a dual sata to 6pin safe for the gtx 650 I’m gonna put it into a old Dell I heard it might not be a good idea or can I have the pcie slot power the card without the 6 pin because it’s max tdp is 64 watts

If the card has a 6-pin power connector, then it needs a 6-pin power connector. They wouldn't put it there if it was optional. As for the adapter situation, I would stay away, even from those Molex to PCIe ones. The cables used for these adapters are often not designed for the high current being pulled. It's just a recipe for disaster or exciting fires.

Are you likely to break something with the adapters? Also no, EVGA says here that sata connectors can do 54 watts.
