Unlocking stubborn micro sd card

tl;dr I've got a micro sd card I'd used in an ipod mod a few months ago, now plugging it directly into my pc it claims it's write protected. I've tried removing the write protection in diskpart, which completes but doesn't do anything. Also tried to clean with diskpart but this only gives me a 'semaphore timeout period has expired' error. Any help would be appreciated, as it's a 256 gig card that I'd like to continue using...

Are you using a adapter card or do you have a micro sd card slot on your computer?
