Updating b550 board for 5600x

Quick question, do I wanna do this bios update with or without a cpu in the slocket?

I was gonna put the parts together I have now (waiting on ram) but I cant put the board in my case yet. and I dont wanna do this semi built if im just gonna have to pull the cpu again to update the bios.
