Seem to not be getting much PPD on F@H

So I have been folding for a couple of months now and my folding rig (which also doubles as an office/work computer although it is not being used for this purpose atm) is only averaging about 43k ppd, I would expect it to be higher given the hardware in there (the specs are below).  Any ideas on how/why I'm not getting many ppd?

Are you folding using the GPU or CPU? With my RX 480 I get around 400k per day with power limited to 85W, so I suspect you're using the CPU instead.

That F@H rig in your specs should be getting in the millions PPD (Im guessing) due to CUDA being enabled on NVIDIA cards now

It says it is folding on the cpu- how do I change it up?

Knew there was something very odd with the amount, it definitely should be getting past a million.

I can get almost half a million on an R9 Fury X per day.  The 2080 and 2060 should be knocking out WU's left and right.  Im a newb, but I followed the numbers when they released the CUDA ability and it destroys AMD compute now.  I cant help on the why, but you are right - thats a problem.  A 1070 can get like 750k a day.

I bought them partly with the amount of PPD in mind. (was expecting them to be getting in the millions)

Just did, I didn't actually realise that it allows the extra points (thought it was just there for security). the ppd is going up and it is around 150,000 so ill check in a bit to see if its at a reasonable amount and report back. Thanks for the tip, cant believe I didn't set it up!!

 

Edit: The points went up to about 1.5mil and have now dropped down to 150k and stayed there, @Eigenvektor It seems to be folding with the cpu and not the gpus.

 

edit: changed over to gpus and now its sitting on about 4.5 mil, this seems normal now, thanks for the help!

Yeah I am between 4 and 5 million PPD with the folding rig in my sig so that sounds right.

 

I did try folding a bit on my main gaming rig with the 6800 XT and if I remember correctly it was sitting right under 2 million PPD, so a big leap over the 5000 series cards but still not as good as Turing. f@h loooooves CUDA.

Yeah it clearly does adore CUDA. Your rig looks pretty identical to mine so good to know I'm hitting the right amount! I am planning to upgrade to a 30 series card for the folding build when they start to come back in stock, happy with the amount right now though. I tried folding a bit on my main PC too and the 570 in there pushes around 500k ppd.
