How to change boot priority in hp pavilion notebook

I recently installed an SSD(it has windows in it already) on the CD drive slot using caddy. This laptop has a hard drive with OS in it.. so now both the storage drive has OS but I want it to boot from my SSD. What to do?!

Set optical drive as top boot priority. Should also wipe your hard drive.

The same as on a desktop, in the BIOS.

"OS boot manager" is the UEFI bootloader on your hard drive; it's effectively just the boot option for your hard drive.

 

 

You want to move "internal CD/DVD ROM drive" to the top of the list.

Are you even sure this will work? Have other people done this successfully? I know a lot of Thinkpads can do it, not sure about other laptops.

Enabling legacy boot and choosing the other drive only works once.. when I restart it boots to the other drive
