Help with cooler getting burned out!

So I recently built my pc using a corsair h100i platinum cooler, I've had no problems with the cooler up until now that it got burned out. Long story short I'm not able to control my case fans speed so a splitter was installed and the cooler burned out when the pc turned on. I got a reply for the cooler, installed it and again it burned out when it turned on. My question now is what's causing this, the psu or motherboard ? My pc started turning off and on rapidly when I installed the new cooler and turned the pc on.

As in it got fried, the lights around the fans dimmed and the actual cooler on top of the cpu completely stopped working on both of them

Hot questions are, what splitter, where connected and have you tried everything without the splitter. Also noting that if its "burned out", the pump and fans wouldn't work at all. So you have some sort of power delivery issue if they do sometimes work, but LEDs for example don't work.

I'm not sure what splitter was used as it was my cousin trying it out to see if we can get the fans connected to that controlled. The splitter was only installed for that one moment before it fried the cooler it was taken out right away so it's still not working without the splitter. Correct they don't work thats why I said they're burnt out, the pump is completely out and all the case fans are at max speeds

Where are the fans connected to? The pump being dead means the AIO is pretty much useless. But since fans are running, they can be controlled. If the fans would have fried, they wouldn't turn on. They are pretty much same with pump, though pumps can draw more power from mobo.

The fans are connected to the cpu header. So the splitter that was used is a pwm 5way fan splitter. So icue at this point won't register the cooler anymore so I can't control the fans anymore and the thermals are crazy high. My pc was operating for about 6 months just fine before this problem arose so I wanna find out what's causing it

Is the CPU header reporting rpms? Have you tried other headers to see if header might be issue? Have you tweaked BIOS?

As for temps being high, thats all about your dead pump. Like I said, your AIO is busted with dead pump. You can't fix it, only Corsair (and maybe some really talented electricians etc.) can.

So my advice is to accept your loss with AIO. You can't RMA since you have caused the issue, and going through with insurance claim probably isn't worth the hassle. Test out all mobo headers to make sure they weren't damaged in the process, and then if fans indeed have dead PWM lead, accept loss on them too. And go for cheap-ish air cooler or something which you have funds for.
