Are you reusing the old cables? If so try with the new PSU and it's cables. 

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

I don't think that the cable is the problem.  but if it came with the connector for a different country, it might beset to the wrong voltage.  Check the rear of the PSU for the 115/220 switch.

i know i am not an admin, but deleting threads because you found the issue is not a great idea. keeping it open (but locked) can help people who come by later in the future who are having the same issue find a solution.

plus i think mods only remove posts that break the CS
