My Philips hue bridge not connecting

I have plugged my bridge into my Ethernet port on my wall and plugged it in and it isn’t connecting, I fear that it is because I have it plugged into the wall not directly into the router. There are some pictures of where I plugged it in. Has anyone else had this problem?
