My psu is Corsair VS450

 

Other specs if needed:

i5-2310 cpu

2x4gb 1600mhz ddr3 ram

intel dh61cr motherboard

depends if your planning on overvolting it as well (over volting is what causes the gpu to pull extra power on amd gpu's, at least most of it)

yes, I did it for years. I would be legitmately impressed if you could get your HD7850 to pull more than 250ws. I overclocked mine to absolute maximum and it would draw around 200w from the wall.
