gtx 1650 VRAM

TAPSgames

So I have a gtx 1650 with 4 GB of VRAM and I saw that you could use some of your system memory for your GPU would switching some of my system RAM to my GPU improve performance? I have 32GB of system RAM so I don't think I'll be missing it if I move it over. Does this even work?

your gpu will automatically utilize system ram when it runs out of vram, much like how your system will utilize your hard drive through a page file when it runs out of vram. it is similarly bad for performance as the connection between your dram and gpu is far slower and higher latency than vram, and you'll see lots of stuttering. so basically, don't run out of vram 馃槢
