Flexing the dual floppies, I see how it is :P.

I don't have dual floppies.

I have a 3.5" floppy drive and a Zip drive.

It says 250MB, but it acts like a 100MB drive.

Mine is fairly average I suppose.. its got a bunch of stuff you can still buy in a store, sort of.. so its fairly current. What sets it apart from others I suppose is.. I like to move air.. Lots of it. Filters are as dirty as the F word where I come from. I use the F word consistently but I never use filters. Just like I never use condoms, got the kids to prove it.

It's uniquely mine.

Though, anyone else who ordered that ShuttlePC SKU would have essentially the exact same thing. Except perhaps for the 16GB of RIPJAW RAM, that's rather unique.

I've considered throwing a larger SSD in, but 128GB is more than enough.

I don't really think the computers built today are toooo cookie cutter. I mean, there's usually 3 or 4 motherboards that are go-tos...but they're the best, why would you get something that's worse performing just to be different? Same for the CPU. RAM is whatever is cheapest. It's kind of hard to make an absolutely unique computer. Case is pretty much the main thing to set it apart, and I hardly ever pay attention to or bother recommending that since it's a pretty personal choice.

I'd love to see updated pics of what that's like now. Though in my mind it probably looks much more Mad Max than it actually is.

It's one of the only AMD systems on the forum that's not Ryzen... and is probably the complete opposite of what Ryzen is today in terms of relative performance on the market.

I guess that's what happens when you ask the forum for build suggestions. It's like going to a car forum and ask how you should modify your car. You're just going to get the same few suggestions over and over again. Do anything that's outside of those suggestions and you'll be laughed at essentially. I've seen people berated for going for Intel builds these days.

Haha I never noticed how archaic your computer is. Then again, the one I'm using right now isn't much newer.

It definitely doesn't feel as...snappy...as something even a few generations newer though.

An RTX 3060 Ti 🙂 But also an SFF(kinda) build with an ATX mobo. Plus the fact that I love windows for desktop but Mac OS all the way for laptops.

No window. No RGB. I can't even see the case from where I sit (I need to lean back to get glimpse), I want to downsize on next upgrade, base build is from 2013 and most of the hardware upgrades made since are bought used.

in reality my PC is kind of setup to be nothing special, in a "this was just the sort of most logical PC for me"

I do have some RGB in the system, but it's all turned off. I have a glass side window on both sides, but my PC is hidden behind my monitor.

Nothing to be honest, just a standard PowerColor Red devil RX 480 8GB with a ryzen 3 3100, 16gb of corsair at 3200mhz and a b450 tomahawk motherboard. Though no RGB because I'm cheap and got the cheapest set of 5 case fans.

My previous system was a little interesting though, i5-3570S I luckily got for 15£ of CEX, and now it's like 30£, 8gb of ram, gtx 770, brand new and sealed EVGA W1 500W PSU I got for like 5£ locally, may have been one of the best deals I got in my life. and a BX500 ssd that I taped to the bottom of a 5.25 inch bay, and all of this went inside a good old Optiplex 7010.

Virtually everything I've bought has been used (m.2 drives aside) and all told, I've probably put less into all that stuff than your ave Ryzen build

Strange that its giving you issues so soon. But I had to RMA my EVGA P2 850W that was from 2016 as the fan started chirping earlier this month. Got a replacement from EVGA still NIB after I upgraded to a 1600W unit right now.

I really don't know what to do with the 850W unit but I don't want to sell it but yet I want to build another PC...but don't have money right now.

I grabbed a full custom loop out of the garbage when working at a dump for the summer.

I have a 240 with gentle typhoons and a 200mm rad with a phobya 180mm fan, gtx 980 with full cover block, all in a mid tower case (moderatley mangled to fit the 200mm rad).

spent 10 euro on an am4 waterblock and grabbed a barrow pump from the garbage also. Also run tap water lol, and i also swapped out my psu fan for a silent noctua fan (also from garbage). Run everything on low rpm so its nearly inaudible.

Some may call it garbage i call it recycling.

Its ok man, I think the fan people are talking about is the one on front of the cooler up top? That's an intake 😄

Looking at my setup you would think there would be an exhaust loop, but from the shear volume being moved.. its not a problem.

Your deltas blow all of my fans away lol, I only know the 3 front fans are 110cfm at 12v 2200rpm. I have 2x 24v fans, one being the NMB in the top front, and a DC Centaur in the very rear but have not idea what they move, but they feel as strong as my Panaflos.. not the most scientific I know..

Couple of things that are less than normal on my system I guess:

1. No window (don't like RGB)

2. BluRay Drive (don't use it much, mostly to archive my BluRay movies and the occasional old CD/DVD game)

3. Dedicated Sound Card (Creative X-Fi)

4. Lots of disks:
- 2 nVME (1 TB each, one PCIe 4)

- 1 SSD (1 TB)

- Storage Space Setup with 2x 510GB SSD as cache and 4x 3TB for space with RAID
