GPU coil whine affecting headphones?

Duranson

So I just built my new computer with an EVGA 3080 FTW3 Ultra. It runs really well, but I've noticed an issue that only happens in RDR2.

When playing RDR2, there will be a little bit of coil whine (this is the only game where I get coil whine), but it also seems to affect my headphones. When I get coil whine in my graphics card, I'll get a very quiet, high-pitched static noise in my headphones. It's quiet enough to be almost unnoticeable, but I still was wondering if there was a solution for this, and why it's happening? Thanks!

That'll be electrical interference that is probably bleeding into either the sound card or headphone jack due to them not being shielded. Might be solveable if you used an outboard usb sound card like the one inside a microphone.
