Disclaimer: I really know next to nothing when it comes to memory overclocking. But I think on AMD you have to overclock the fabric clock as well if you wanna have memory faster than 3200mhz.

Infinity Fabric (IF) is automatically 1:1 with DRAM until around ... ~DDR4-3800 (?)

Motherboard will keep it 1:1 until said DDR4-3800, and it will drop the ratio to 1:2 .... which you don't want.

What CPU are you running?

Did you update your BIOS to a new(er) version?

Usually BIOS updates improve DRAM compatibility and better XMP support, etc.

The AsRock B550M Phantom Gaming 4, from what I can see, only has 3 BIOS versions available since launch. You would want to use the latest (version 1.30), and it contains the latest AGESA patches / fixes.

You also need to note anything above DDR4-3200 (for Ryzen 3000-series and 5000-series) requires overclocking the CPU's Integrated Memory Controller (IMC).

With overclocking anything "you mileage may vary."

AMD only guarantees you up to DDR4-3200 -- anything above that will depend on the grade of your CPU ("silicon lottery"), and DRAM + motherboard combination, etc.

Which DIMM slots are you using?

AsRock included this table...

From other AsRock board users, Slots A2 and B2 are usually better for DRAM overclocking.

I think it's how the trace-routing in the board is designed for THOSE two slots or something.
