EPS 6pin Cpu connector on old Be Quiet! PSU ( Dark Power Pro 650W)

So my friend got this old power supply for cheap but we cant find a cable for the cpu at all. We need something like 6pin to 4+4 (8pin) cpu power connector, to power Ryzen system. Does anyone know if its safe to use adapters from pcie to eps for cpu power, or should i just search for the fitting cable?

If you have the proper PCI_e cables and you use the PCI_e ports it should supply enough power but I'd be wary about the quality of the adapter.

 

Aside from my personal rule of thumb being not to buy used PSU's I definitely wouldn't buy one if it didn't come with all the cables.

 

If you can Id contact Be Quiet and see if they can sell you the proper cable.

I have never heard of an adaptor on the PSU side connection, as those are generally proprietary to each manufacturer. Yeah, best bet is to contact Be Quiet themselves.

You need a cable for P8.

 

Cheap is for free? Because more than that is too much.

 

The unit is almost 13 years old and far from high-end. Don't use it. I don't think it's working well anymore.

You want to use the P8 Connector above what you have circled with the matching 8 pin CPU/EPS12V cable that came with the power supply.
