Need Recommendation on Power Supply Wattage for New Build

I'm building a new build with a rtx 3090 and 5900x and am trying to make it all white, but most of the nice white power supplies are 850w. Is that enough for my build or do I need 1000w? I'm doing fully custom water cooling and will be overclocking.

Yeah but thats only 850w. Do you think that's enough?

Nvidia recommends a 750W PSU, so 850W should be fine. 1000W is playing safe especially if you are panning to OC and do a custom loop.

im pretty sure it would work, i've gotten a 3080 to work reliably on a 550w psu so an 850w for a 3090? easy

I would go with a 1000W. Some users are reporting 780w power spikes with overclocking. Of course, without video evidence, take that with a grain of salt. On another note, PcPartPicker shows a dozen or so white-1000w power supplies, but not one available for purchase. And I'm not sure if those brands are trustable. I would consider going with something that isn't white.
