nh-c14s in mid tower case?

Hey, I have built a pretty powerful machine in a 15+ year old case, but I want to upgrade for better cooling and more silent operation (main use is music recording and production). The new case fits a large tower cooler, but I already have a nh-c14s in the original build. Should I sell that one and buy a good tower cooler for better results in terms of silence?
