I'm trying to build a computer and I'm stuck..

I'm getting near the end of the build, but there's an issue. The graphics cards that I could be getting seem to be priced at super high prices and most don't even seem to be in stock anywhere. Is there something going on that I don't know about? I tried for weeks now to find a good card, but all I came up with for the best possible solution was a Gigabyte 2070 Super at almost 900 dollars. I've considered gettign a 1050 Ti placeholder, but most people seem to think that's a really bad idea, but that's what I'm using at the moment now anyways and it does in fact perform well towards most things. I'm still saving up money to build this thing monstrosity, but what is with the prices for the graphics cards? The Nvidia website seems to think everything is very cheap and under 1000 dollars, but go and search for them and they start at 1000 dollars. I'm pulling my hair out over this and I've got a 1050 Ti in my cart on Newegg ready to go. Can someone help please? This is what I've found so far:

yes in fact you are correct, there is nothing in stock and/or with very exorbitant prices, get yourself an rx 580 placeholder(if you can find one under $200 and get Stock Drops Notifications so that you'll know when cards are in stock, and quickly purchase them, you'll need to be quick because there are bots set up by scalpers who will buy them and sell them on ebay for 2x,3x the price.

I'd just take the performance hit with a lower end card for now, the GPU market is outta this world rn.

If I were you I would wait for a lower priced market to buy a card that is worth your money and not unrealistically valued.

I just checked 580's on Newegg and they are priced above $500

They're 600+ dollars. Why is this happening and how long are we going to have to wait until it stops?

I'm not one much for auctions and I try to stay away from Ebay at all costs for things like this. I'll buy other things on Ebay, but I know people like to send you blown computer parts and then change the ad or disappear before you can report them.

Those prices are ridiculous. Where on Earth are you getting those prices from? I paid $1050 Australian dollars (about $750 US) for my 1080ti a few years ago when it was brand new.

I also stay away from Amazon. I bought a copy of Pokemon Heart Gold for 60 dollars game only and it turned out to be fake. The guy then told me to keep the game and refunded me though, but I kept looking with that knowledge in mind and all I could find were fake copies.

I already bought the 9900k 2 months ago with a free aorus z390 pro (no wifi) and a few games free with it. It was a great deal for me. Also, the 570 is 589.
