Assembled new build - installed windows. All was good until I rebooted -now have zero power

CreateSean

I assembled my PC today and got windows installed and everything was working fine.

I rebooted and and now there is no power at all. It's only been 2 hours since I turned it on and now it's toast.

Have reset connectors still no go.

Really at a loss here.

Here is my parts list: Graphics is a RX560 I pulled out of my 9 year old build that died a week ago.

Have you pulled the CMOS battery waited 5-10 min and re-inserted it?

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

yeah this is one of these cases when it's not totally clear what's causing it, but likely culprits are:

PSU

or

motherboard

So I would suggest to exchange either one (not both at once) and then test with the new part.

Typically you'd start with the PSU, but keep in mind you have to also exchange all power cables for the new ones as cables between PSUs are usually not compatible.

Okay - It's working again. If it happens again in the next day or two then I'll look at returning the PSU.
