If I were to break a school rule outside of school time, could I still get in trouble?

So at school today I was just chilling with my friends, and the bell had gone, to signal the end of the day. I jumped over this wall as I usually do, and a teacher came up to me and asked me for my name, also threatening to take me to my head of year. None of my friends gave her my name either, but I'm still curious. I mean, firstly, the headteacher has seen me jump over this wall and hasn't cared, but this teacher has. So if I'm outside of school time but still on the premise, would it be a broken "rule?"

I'm sure school rules still apply as long as your on school grounds. If your headteacher has seen you do it before then it probably wouldn't matter if that other teacher reported you.

Go ask the teacher that called you out on it where it is written down that this is not allowed. If it is somewhere. Then you broke the rule and should not do this anymore. 

Or you could just be social and just stop jumping over that wall.

equally if your school has a uniform, being anywhere in public, the rules apply as to the public you represent the school

 

I was about to mention the uniform bit.

 

If you are wearing a uniform you are representing that school, therefore the rules still apply. Not sure about other countries but that is how it is in the UK.

It depends on what you are doing. Even if you are of age and it isn't during school hours, you can still get fined or arrested for smoking/drinking on school property.

I'm almost certain that is a teacher went to the head teacher and said "there are kids jumping oer a wall" the head teacher would laugh and say "ok, I have better things to do."

So trivial it's stupid.

And this kind of rule is probably a grey area. You might get in a bit of trouble. But i wouldn't imagine it will be that bad.

Seems like the teacher was having a shit day and wanted to tell someone off and, well you were the first person that they came across.  Or they just wanted to feel like theu had authority, often happens to me when I ask questions a teacher can't answer and they feel like they've lost control so they try and pick out a fault in me.

Once got in a fight on summer vacation 16 miles away from school grounds and was suspended when the guy who lost the fight (he started) reported me so wasn't there for 3 days of the start of the year. BULLSHIT AT ITS BEST

I jump over my wall all the time because I have P.E last period and 5 minutes is not enough time for me to change and walk to the bus when I talk non-stop so I have to run to the bus hop the school wall then get on my bus just before it leaves several times a teacher has shouted at me and I just ran on because I would miss the bus otherwise...

You are responsible for your actions outside of school and can be held accountable, at least at my school. If I happened to go to a party and got arrested (happened a couiple years ago to some other kids) there will be/were consequences at school

Public Schools will do what they want, and are some of the most corrupt public organizations.

 

I was expelled for telling a principle to fuck off, and stop harassing me at a public park. I of course called him all kinds of names, but they point was the man was harassing me a hour after school, at a public park.

 

The fact is; if you get out of school, you must go back home! If you do not go home after school then the school is still technically responsible for you. 

 

I went home that day, and was still suspended.

You won't be able to complain either, because no one will take you seriously.  

 

Which means if you do ANYTHING that they don't like; they will suspend your ass. 

 

Schools are filled with power hungry failures.
