Notification pop-up on Android can't be tapped

Browser, version and OS: Android 10 chrome

 

Steps to reproduce/what were you doing before it happened?

Browsing forum, nothing special

 

What happened?

When I get a notification, the pop up will appear at the bottom, sometimes tapping on it makes chrome highlight the words instead of linking me to the notification, I believe sometimes it's not acting as a button

 

Sometimes, but not all the time

 

What did you expect to happen?

Tapping on it is equal to talking on notification from side bar all the time

 

Can provide screenshot if you wish, I don't have any now though

By any chance, does Chrome have an option to highlight text to search for it (or was it added recently) on Android? Edge was giving me similar issues on iOS and it was annoying as hell until I turned it off.

Yes, if I tap on a word it'll highlight it

But if it's a link, it'll just go to the link

 

I also taped the empty space in the pop up without text, nothing happened (it usually works)

Hmm, okay, if it doesn't change if you turn that feature off (again, not exactly sure if that's even a feature on Android Chrome), then it rules that out at least.

Disabled "touch to search" for now, will see if it still occurs

So far it has yet to occur again after the changes you suggested

 

So thanks for the suggestion again!

 

I'll continue monitoring just in case
