Cougar GEX 850w ramping?

Hello there,

 

I have the following issue: While playing games (especially heavier games) there is an really annoying sound coming form the PSU - ramps down and up for a sec or two and then stops. 

 

My gpu is an RTX 3080 FTW Ultra 3, the cpu is an 5900x with an B550 Phantom Gamin 4 mobo. According to cougar's site this PSU should be fine. Searched for a power saving button but couldn't find any.

 

Any ideas if this PSU is just a bad unit?
