Will My SSD Die If I reformat alot

I as a Linux user like to distrohop. My worry is that my SSD will die. I use WD 240GB M.2 SSD. I have reformatted it about 10-15 times

Not really. I got like 30 terabytes written on my 840 evo 120G and it still works fine.

reformat is fine as long as you don't wipe it.

wiping a ssd counted the whole ssd, so if you're wiping 240gb, it should reduce the lifetime to 240gb.

Short answer: no

Long answer: maybe

If you overwrite your OS, it's usually not a huge amount. But if you completely wipe your SSD and fill it with 0's or 1's, it will write the entire SSD size, so will definitely shorten lifespan. Just a clean install? No problem.

What a mess that place is, cant see why it would be popular
