Best way to install mismatched RAM?

I have a MSI B350 GAMING PLUS motherboard. I originally built the PC with Team T-Force DARK 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2400 (PC4 19200) Desktop Memory Model TDRED416G2400HC14DC01. I just picked up two sticks of CORSAIR Vengeance RGB Pro (AMD Ryzen Ready) 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Desktop Memory Model CMW16GX4M2Z3600C18 on sale.

What is the best way to install my RAM now? Do I put the Corsair into DIMMA2 and DIMMB2 and move the Team T-Force into DIMMA1 and DIMMAB1?

Do I put both Corsair into DIMMA1 and DIMMA 2 and T-Force into DIMMB1 and DIMMB2?

Does it matter? Will the T-Force drop the Corsair to 2400? If that's the case would it be better to just install the Corsair and remove the T-Force?

TIA!

Well, you have 2 different speeds.

If you put both in, you'll have to run all of them at 2400.

As Ryzen benefits from faster RAM, the best thing to do is remove your old 2400 MHz and put in the 3600 MHz.

I was afraid of that.... I don't know why I bought 2400 the first time. Noob mistake.

imo if you are just gaming, and don't need the 32gb for rendering, or something, you will be better off running only the 16 gb of corsair 3600.

I would try overclocking the 2400MHz RAM to something like 3200MHz, and also dropping the faster RAM to that speed as well. At least this way you will not have that great of a performance penalty.
