Laptop HDD Continuous Ping noise

Laptop hdd is making a ping noise when screen turns off on battery.

The hdd is a Seagate ST1000LM035-1RK172

Laptop is less than 4months old.

Sound a bit like the HDD spinning up repeatedly and the head moving into its parking position in between. Have you checked the disk for errors (e.g. CrystalDiskMark). It might've gotten damaged e.g. by a fall or similar.

Yes, everything is fine. HdSentinel, CDM, even Sea Tools shows no error.

Can it be because of laptop trying to save battery by spinning the hdd down?

Could be, but then the noise should only happen "once". The HDD should shut down e.g. after x minutes, depending on your energy settings in Windows. You should hear it spin down and the head move into its parking position but that shouldn't repeat periodically unless the HDD spins up in between.
