Samsung C27JG5X settings issues

NINJA_F15H

Hi guys,

As you can see eye saver mode and most of the settings on my monitor are greyed out on my Samsung C27JG5X. I've looked into OSD lock but apparently eye saver mode etc, should still work when OSD lock is enabled and holding down the Jog button for 10s or longer which turns OSD on or off appears to do nothing whatsoever. Tried plugging into partners PC and tried different ports on my graphics card to no avail. When I first purchased the monitor there were no issues at all. Only been in the last couple of months that the issue has presented itself. On a bit of a side note, as you can see on the first image randomly when turning my monitor on the left half will be completely black, this can be fixed by cycling through sources until coming back round to DP but was wondering if this could be the monitor trying to tell me its giving up on me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

NINJA_F15H

System only allows me to exit the menu entirely. I'll see if I can find a firmware update

Are you sure you cant go down further? My display had same panel and OSD menu. But in any case, try updating firmware. Was necessary with my monitor too..

  • 2 months later...

I had the exact same issue on my C32JG50 which I had connected using DP. Switched to HDMI 2 (to get the full resolution at 144hz) and I am able to access all the OSD menu. Tried going back to DP even with a different cable, no go, it goes back to the "locked" mode. Have tried to reset to factory default but DP connection is somehow causing this lock. So now I stick with HDMI. Hope this works for you.
