Secondary storage device (hard drive) Installation

I recently built a new computer and decided to have a 1 TB SSD and a 2 TB HDD, but the system doesn't seem to detect the new hard drive. I have gone to the disk management and it doesn't show up there, and when I enter the bios is doesn't appear there either. There also appears to be an issue in the device manager, though I am not sure what it is.

Looks like Windows is missing a few drivers, I'm guessing by the looks of it you're using a Dell Precision workstation or an HP HEDT computer? You've probably plugged your new hard drive into the motherboard's built-in RAID controller that it doesn't have drivers for, you probably just need to install all the drivers you need for your computer or your motherboard

You say it doesn't show up in the BIOS. Is it connected properly? Is your 1TB SSD using an M.2 slot or is it a 2.5" drive?

They said that they built the computer, so it isn't a Precision or something else.

True, but this kind of PCI and RAID controller bios thing is only really found on enterprise or high-end boards which they haven't really told us what they have, @Space_fish_comradewhat motherboard do you have?

Of course there isn't much to go off of without knowing what board they have, but I have seen integrated SATA RAID controllers (nothing special, just basic controllers with basic RAID functionality) that show up in Windows as a RAID controller when that's enabled.

Though probably not PCI encryption/decryption controller. That's an odd one.

the SSD is using an M.2 slot, and unless you can plug in a sata cable backwards, the hard drive is plugged in correctly.
