No screen output after running "New CPU installed" F1 setup (first ever boot)

Go to solution Solved by FoxTrotte,

Okay this is solved!

We figured out that the first GPU we used (his GPU) probably died after the first bios setup for some reason, and the reason why we couldn't boot with the second GPU was that we had only plugged one out of the two necessary power cables

Hey there!

My friend ordered new CPU, motherboard and ram for his old gaming computer.

He got a i5-10400f, a Asus Prime H410m-d motherboard, and some 4666mhz ddr4 ram (2 sticks)

After building the pc, we connected everything and booted it up. The BIOS logo appeared, I was then prompted to press F1 because "a new cpu was detected", which I did. I entered the BIOS and checked if the ram was at the right speed, and left the BIOS.

Then started our problems. There is simply no screen output. The screen doesn't even display black, it just goes to sleep mode after saying no output has been detected.

Now we don't even see the bios logo on startup anymore, the monitor doesn't even react to the computer starting up.

We've plugged the video cables on the motherboard, have tried different cables, different screens, changed GPU, replugged every single cables in the motherboard, tried with only one stick of ram, with every one of the sticks of ram. We tried removing the battery of the Motherboard, making a CMOS clear, re-seatting the CPU.... Nothing worked or made any kind of difference.

I come here desperately for gel or advice, even though I am now fairly convinced that the motherboard just died for no reason whatsoever.

Thanks!!
