New ssd not showing up in his envy x360

I decided to upgrade my 2016 hp envy x360 15 with an ssd,I saw online that it infact did have a m.2 slot so I got a 250gb ssd, according to the guide it said to go in the advance options and enable m.2,the bios didn't have advance options and I tried every keyboard shortcut I was told, even the boot options didn't show much,so i decided to install the ssd and turn it on,when I did it got into boot loop, upgraded bios and now it boots but ssd shows up nowhere not even disk management.

You might have put an NVMe SSD in a slot that only supports SATA or vice versa.
