5600x build, tips and recommendations

Hello guys,

 I put something together but I would like to hear some others opinion on this, since Its some time when I did this. My Core2Duo E6750 works still fine hehe.

 

Iam from Czech Republic in middle of Europe so markets and prices could be a different, but thats not a problem. I want to compare it in general. I dont have any software requirements or specific needs. Just want a good rig that will last "few" more years.

 

From my current build Iam gonna reuse CPU cooler Silentium Fera 3, SATA SSD and SATA HDD. There is no GPU in this build, since I will use my old one and wait for 3080 in stock.

 

CPU :  amd 5600x

 

MB: ASUS TUF GAMING B550-PLUS - AMD B550

        MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK - AMD B550

I read something, but there are dozens and dozesn of mobos...and thats a bit overwhelming. There is an advantage with TUF that I wont lose 2nd and 3rd PCie slot If activating second M2 slot. In TUF case I will lose only 2x SATA ports which is fine. Other then that Its pretty much similar I would say.

What do you think? Is there any other MB which you could recommend?

 

RAM: HyperX Fury Black 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200 CL16

I dont see any real benefit of getting 3600MHz. For me Its just delusion. Or am I wrong?

M.2 SSD: Kingston A2000, M.2 - 1TB

                Samsung SSD 970 EVO, M.2 - 1TB

Is there any real difference between those two? Would I really feel the difference in the speed perhaps? I dont think so.

Will be 750W enough or should I go for 850W? Any differences between those three? They seems pretty much solid.

i'm glad you enlightened this thread with your vast knowledge

 

Performance gain? They are talking about this "gain" in those videos. From my understanding this gain is 3-5% or occasionally 10%. When we are talking about 100+ FPS, thats literally nothing. This seems to me Its just number hunting which Iam not interested in. So my question was If there is any real benefit from it, besides 5 more FPS.

 

 

What means "ofc its better" ? More numbers more better?

3600 kits of RAM is good tough beware if its overpriced or single-rank a 3200MHz CL14 may be better? If you do get a single rank tough not the end of the world just manually tune it like I did I set my 2666 kit to 3800MHz CL20-21-21-42 @1.35v which is great, I could also have settled for the 3600MHz CL18-19-19-38 @1.35v since on papir that should be faster. :3
