Dell Monitor goes in power saver mode while using HDMI to VGA , i.e HDMI Input from laptop to VGA monitor to show output

1. CPU used earlier is thrown away 

2. Model of Monitor is Dell N1910 

3. Same monitor works with my friends CPU as normal VGA To VGA

Do you have an HDMI to VGA adapter, or, a VGA to HDMI adapter? They are not the same, and they are not reversible.

Is the laptop set to outputs? What does it see?

Have you set the display to actually be used? Press the Windows Key and P at the same time and when the Project menu opens, click extend like this

I am using mac book air and it does detect the monitor and shows online also 

I do see the arrangements also

Well Now it does shows online but does not display it goes in sleep mode

You may need to try a different HDMI to VGA adapter. Are you sure of the model of the monitor? N1910 isn't the proper model.

You're using a Mac, they tend to have low power HDMI ports which can't always fully power adapters like the one you are using. You may need a powered adapter that uses USB for power as well.
