HDMI signal and power delivery over USB

Hi guys, so it's my very first post here even though I've been watching Linus for years.

So, I've been thinking for some time of adding a secondary screen to my laptop(project Valerie stile) and I got it mostly figured, but for the sake of cable management I want to know if I can use the same USB A port for both power delivery and HDMI signal(I know it's possible but hear me out).I would have to use a USB A to HDMI cable for signal and I want to know if I could use a USB hub so one cable would be for signal and another one for power. I will be using a USB power delivery board for the 12v that the controller needs. The power consumption is around 10- 20W.

Basically something like this

                                                                      /------>  USB to HDMI cable------->  controller board HDMI port

USB 3.1 gen 1(power+hdmi)------>USB hub

                                                                      \------>  USB C PD board---------->   controller board power port

P.S.  I'm going to be using one of the 2 UBS A ports from the back of my Lenovo Legion 5.

I don't know anything about the overall power consumption of the board and display

Well figuring that out would be the first step...
